WHAT WE DO

EPIC Financial Consulting, Inc. brings a new dimension of tax-efficient
planning for three different taxable events.

CAPITAL GAINS TAX
ON LIQUIDITY EVENTS

Reduces or eliminates capital gains taxes for wealth holders facing liquidity of any appreciated assets such as sale of business, real estate (residential or commercial), art collections, stock, or intellectual property.

Tax on Passive Income

Reduces or eliminates the taxes on passive income generated from rents (real estate), royalties (licensing income, residuals, etc) , interest income (trust deed income or bond income), dividends and capital gains (long or short term).

ESTATE TAX

Reduces or eliminates the taxes that would ordinarily be due upon death, regardless of the size of the estate or the age of the owner.

OUR APPROACH

Our team of experts consults with high-net-worth clients and their tax advisors to
achieve unparalleled tax efficiency.

We have utilized playbooks from the fields of tax analysis, estate planning, philanthropy, and corporate law to develop a unique and creative process to structure assets for tax efficiency and protection. We recognize that no major decision is made in a vacuum, but rather in concert with one’s family and one’s trusted advisors.

Thus, we work in conjunction with our client’s tax and legal advisors and with their existing planning to provide guidance; we will not execute any engagement agreement, nor will we accept payment of service fees without the collective consensus of each member of our client’s inner circle.

Track Record: Our proprietary methodology has been developed, tested, and proven for over 20 years with more than 300 high-net-worth families.

Reg Wilson

Founder and President

For over 35 years, Reg has advised high net worth families with a focus on innovative approaches to his “twin pillars of wealth accumulation”: minimizing taxes and increasing yield without increasing risk.

Following his degree in Economics and economic development studies in Africa, Reg spent several years in the Middle East prior to starting his career in the ‘financial advice business’ in 1978. He has written and spoken widely on his approach to planning.

In 2001, he and his wife, Gina Ross, created an operating foundation, International Trauma-Healing Institute, focused on PTSD and trauma in Israel. An adventurer by nature, he crossed the Sahara at 19, has visited over 100 countries, and is a fan of world music. Reg sculpts, paints, plays jazz piano and trumpet and has 6 grandchildren within a mile of his home in Hancock Park.

DENNIS DUITCH, CPA

DENNIS DUITCH, CPA

Dennis specializes in a unique consulting practice for ultra-high-net-worth families involving retreats and family discussions around issues of aligning wealth and values: i.e., what is most important to the family members, what impact wealth will have on them and on the community, and how to develop the next generation to become responsible stewards of the family’s wealth and philanthropic legacy. This is not ‘financial planning’ or ‘estate planning’ in any conventional sense but rather deeply personal, value driven conversations to bring meaning, purpose, and unity to the family.

After national CPA firm experience, Dennis founded and managed one of California’s largest independent Accounting and Professional Service firms before selling it to a public company, so he has personally experienced the life-changing liquidity event.

He brings over forty years of strategic guidance to business owners, high wealth families, and celebrities in financial matters, tax minimization strategies and estate planning for reality-based ‘retirement’ & legacy protection. His background includes an MBA in Finance from Northwestern University, Certificates of specialty in Business Appraisal, Family Business Management, Estate Planning and Mediation.

Dennis also serves as Director for private and public companies and philanthropic organizations involving Domestic Violence, Cybersecurity, and International Trauma; has published and lectured extensively in management and financial arenas to business & professional groups and university classes; and served in executive officer roles for companies & projects including consumer products and real estate. He also sculpts, has a published poetry book, and is a rock band musician.
